Tiliment Marathon Bike -

The stony bed of the Tagliamento and Meduna Rivers and the mountains of the Carnic Pre-Alps, around the Plain of Friuli, are the TILIMENT MARATHON BIKE 2009 location.

The Tagliamento River is the main watercourse in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. It can be considered the last Alpine river in Europe which is more or less in a natural condition, with its rushing waters, so mysterious and primeval, as the Meduna River.

The vast landscape, from the plains to 1.100 meters above sea level, offers a striking race itinerary, practicable by car or on foot (the Hill Manzon, the first tops of the Mount Ciaurlec).

The natural environment is partly protected, the typical flora prefers semi-arid environments and the leading role of the fauna is played by the wild boar and the roe.
